Our youngest princess turned 5 this Sunday! How I wish they could stay little. We celebrated her big day at home. We feel over the years these walls will build special memories and that this house will not just be any house when my kids grow up but a home where they spend special moments celebrating with family and friends. Its definitely no easy feast cleaning up before/after a big party, not to mention making all the decor and prepping the food oh and did I mention with four little monkeys running around? But her smile makes it all well worth it.
Baby girl has been really into the show Peter Rabbit unfortunately, for this party fanatic mom, their wasn't too much selection so naturally my creativity gene kicked in and started to create a Vintage Peter Rabbit Birthday Party. I wanted it to embody a spring, cottage-y feel, garden-esq, vintage feel. I printed her banners, cupcake toppers, water bottle labels, made her goody bags and got started on her party. She was so excited all week long and it seemed that's all she talked about. So after I had already invited all our guests, I asked her who she wanted to invite from her class and she excitedly responded, "EVERYONE!" Big gulp from mommy! I then printed 22 more invites and passed them out to everyone is her class. So happy with the turn out of friends and family that helped us celebrate my chica bonita. BTW, the cake was carrot cake with cream cheese! One of the best cakes I've tasted. I didn't get to try the cupcakes but from what I heard they were bomb! Oh and the beverage of choice was freshly squeezed lemonade with frozen pureed strawberries. Delish! My mom was so instrumental in helping provide alot of the decor from Dallas Farmer's Market. She brought me all the fresh fruits and veggies and wooden crates. She was even able to find those cute bunches of carrots with those long green stems! Eeek (nerd)
Here are some sweet pictures we were able to capture....
