This year marked 8 years married to my main squeeze. Sometimes I'll just sit here and can't even believe time has traveled this fast...but it has. I love the way we met, how our relationship grew little by little and how we took it slow. I also love the way my prince proposed to me. It was like a page torn from a fairy tale book. He even wore a black suit and got on one knee towering over Dallas's skyline! It's been fun being married to my bf but it hasn't always been a smooth ride. It feels like every time life hits us hard, our relationship solidifies stronger. And sometimes I look at him and smile and say, "we've been through some stuff huh?" I laugh because he simply smiles back and tells me, " I'm not going no where baby" lol yeah...my man is a man of a few words! But they always seem to reassure me that everything is going to be a-okay :) He is my rock and my anchor. He's so chill and composed and a hard worker. He loves his family above all and I love him for that.
We've been talking for the past couple of years of how cool would it be if we celebrated our 10th year anniversary in the same place we had our honeymoon...Puerto Vallarata! We could even stay in the same hotel and even try to book the same room! I mean how cool would that be. Eat at the same restaurants and do all the same fun activities we once did 10 years ago. That or simply take our very own first cruise! I love taking about the future with my guy of course we always put GOD in the forefront of our lives and future. We are after all in his hands and in his time.
Here's a picture of our anniversary dinner this year. I was so excited this year feel on one of his off days! Yess! We spend all day doing some home remodeling- I know, not the most romantic date but these are memories that stay in our home. Every year I snap a picture of us two celebrating our anniversaries. I'm currently working on a Mr & Mrs collage in our bedroom where I plan to showcase all our previous anniversary pictures. <3
