Pintrest is covered with these bucket list. I started pinning them last fall when I saw a really cute "fall bucket list" The week before school was out for the summer I sat with my big girl and asked my husband what would be fun stuff to do over the summer? Being only one income family, we really try not to overspend but still get these kids out the house! lol I have my planner full of activities. It was really important for me to come up with ideas since we most likely will not be able to go on vacay like we've been so fortunate to do so in the past because of my itty bitty. But there is sill lots of fun stuff we can do within our own city- most of which I managed to find coupons for, go on promotional days, or some are even free activities ;) God willing maybe next year we will be ready for a vacation. I figure that way Baby Ian will no longer be nursing and hopefully walking! :) Or at least that's the "plan" anyways.
Happy Summer Everyone!

Feliz 70 Anos Mama Juana
It's no secret to the ones that know me how much I LOVE my grandma! She has been there for me since birth and has helped raise me. I love her like a second mother. She is my world and then some! We really wanted to honor her on her milestone birthday as BIG as her personality! She's loud, blunt, funny, inappropriate, loving, energetic, savvy shopper, reinvented, sassy and did I mention blunt? lol The older I get, the more I find myself quoting her, cooking her recipes, and being just as frugal as her! lol I can blog about her day so I'll keep it short. She has truly molded the person you guys know. I may look young on the outside but I'm an old school Mexican fool on the inside. I share a lot of her family fundamental principals- it's also funny how our birthdays are exactly a week apart! She really gets me and understand me. I LOVE her with all my might! My mom surprised her with Mariachi, all the family brought different dishes ( I made 50 sour cream enchiladas), My uncle made one bad 7 tier cake - one for each decade, and my guy cousins made the best agua de pina and sandia I've ever tasted! The place was decorated with lavender, her favorite scent and color. Natural flowers in every table. We even had a piƱata that only the adults got to hit blindfolded! That made for some fun times :D I pray the LORD keeps her safe, healthy, and happy!
Father's Day 2013
We had a few things lined up for our special man of the hour. This year it felt just a little bit more special since our family is now complete with baby boy Ian. The girls of the house surprised daddy with breakfast in bed. He was pretty surprised especially since we woke him up with our loud ruckus! Haha, that's us gals- LOUD! Than we all got ready for church. It was also a special Sunday as well because our church had child dedication and we all prayed over our small children and promised to guide them in God's path by not only teaching them God's way but also leading by example. We later came home and the kids gave daddy his father's day presents and I tried to take a few pictures before I changed the kids out of their church clothes....as you can see by the pictures- this bunch doesn't do well after sitting for too long :/ The kid's nana came by to see them only just to witness Bri attempting to cut her own hair! Ugh! That child! The crazy thing was that even though there was a lot of hair on the floor, she did manage to give herself layers. We turned to daddy and said "Happy Father's Day Daddy!" Never a dull moment!

31 and Look'n Fly ;)
I've adopted a new motto for my 31st Birthday,
"31 and look'n fly!" ;) LOL. My Birthday morning was pretty quiet. I was lucky that my husband was off that day so it was pretty much just us two and the boys. Denyce had a "fun day" scheduled at her school and Bri was at her pre-school. My JJ made me some yummy pancakes that I was craving and I just dressed it up a bit ;) We had a fun morning. Later I got dolled up and went for a little "guilt-free" shopping only the guilt did eventually kick in and wound up buying for my kids instead :/ Mommy at heart. Than my mom called me up and wanted to take the whole family out to an early dinner. We ended up back at my house for some funny Spanish charades and lounging back :)

Good Bye 5th Grade
Denyc'e 5th grade graduation was pretty emotional for her and for most of us too. All the kids and parents meet up at the school cafeteria early morning on Thursday and heard 3 great student speeches. All I kept thinking was, "wow, these kids are super smart! Our future looks very promising!" Then each student was given their "diploma" by the principal and a photo op. After that came the awards! Very proud to post that my baby girl got the Presidential Award for Outstanding Academics and Passed All parts of the STAAR test with flying colors! WooHoo! :) The program concluded with a video highlighting the entire school year. There wasn't a dry eye in the house. Wonderful memories she can look back and be proud of.
Elementry Grad Party
Decided to throw my favorite 5th grade gal a little grad party for her entire class on June 1st. We had yummy nachos, hot dogs, cupcakes and lemonade...you know, kid-friendly foods :) The theme colors where royal blue and yellow- her school colors of course :) Student's started arriving by 4pm and the last guest left at 9pm. We had several games like wii dance off contest, charades, hot dog eating contest and a "how well do you know your school" trivia game! It was a fun way to kick off summer! :)
Mother's Day
Awesome little day thanks to my thoughtful husband and my big girl. My sweet girl used some of her savings to surprise me with a spa day! It was very humbling knowing she would spend some of her money on her momma. Daddy paid for the other half and when I came back, lunch was waiting for me from one of my favorite seafood pasta joints: Napolis! And the hydrangea bouquet was the icing to a perfect day! :)
7 Year Bliss
Our 7 Year Anniversary was one for the record books. Jared's always been very detailed and loves surprises as much as I do; that's one of the qualities I love about him. Those previous weeks we were mentioning how "this time 7 years ago" we were preparing for our Puerto Vallarta Honeymoon. I'm guessing that's where he got his romantic, sunset sail on the lake idea. It was wonderful! I haven't felt so relaxed and carefree in months! :) The day was just perfect, clear skies and a refreshing breeze. Afterwards we had a fun dinner on the harbor at Dodie's Cajun. Jared even ordered fried oyster's (mom's favorite) for his mom who was sweet enough to babysit. He is such a great son and great husband. I wouldn't trade him for all the riches of the world! :)
