. . . Sigh! My guerito's days at preschool are coming to an end :'( Tomorrow will be their last day. I love when he comes home with his artwork and hearing him say new words. Why must they grow so quickly???

Welcome
First of all, thank you for the recent blog milestone of 5k reads since the blog first launched!!!
I use this blog as a way to recollect itty bitty glimpses of my life's tale and as a way to connect to the outside world. Having four little ones with different personalities makes for a demanding schedule with them; not leaving any time to socialize for this social butterfly. Plus, I don't have the best short term memory- although my long term memory is very impressive. So having a family blog really helps me piece together those missing puzzle pieces. Thanks for tuning in!!! <3

Oh BTW, I love our new door mat! It totally says 'family nest' and helps bring a little bit of our blog into our nest. :)

Sibling LOVE
These two can be the sweetest together. They've always been close but it seems like lately they've been getting on each others nerves. So when I see tender moments like this, it totally brightens my day! :)

Sleepy Head
One thing I've definitely appreciated during this chapter of my life as a SAHM is snuggling with the baby of the house. My multitasking mind says "get up, theirs things to be knocked off on the to-do-list!" But my heart reminds me this tender age won't last long but those dirty dishes and lovely piles of laundry will always be there.... so I snuggle with this little face any time I can <3
Headed to School
Eli loves when daddy is off because he gets to take him to school :) Look at those two smiling! Like father like son. <3

Dia de las Madres
I have to start off with a funny story. So in Mexico Mother's Day is always May 10th and in America it is always the second Sunday in May. This year it so happened the days fell back to back. I told Jared yesterday early morning that I planned on sleeping in and enjoying my mothers day weekend and he said but it's not till tomorrow and I explained to him that we celebrate today as well. And he responds with a straight face but we're not in Mexico. Lol. My response was simply but I am Mexican American therefore I get both days!! Lol, long story short I won hahaha! :) yet another example of our culture clash-gotta love it! <3
We planned on going to The Perot Museum since it has a little bit for every age and we have not been there in a while. Once we got there the girls started working on my Mothers Day cards in the Art Center. The boys were all about the blocks and the mini downtown replica. But their favorite thing of course is always the dinosaurs. The kids were all pooped and were able to take a cat nap before arriving to our next destination.

Briana Turns 5 Ya'll !!!
Our youngest princess turned 5 this Sunday! How I wish they could stay little. We celebrated her big day at home. We feel over the years these walls will build special memories and that this house will not just be any house when my kids grow up but a home where they spend special moments celebrating with family and friends. Its definitely no easy feast cleaning up before/after a big party, not to mention making all the decor and prepping the food oh and did I mention with four little monkeys running around? But her smile makes it all well worth it.
Baby girl has been really into the show Peter Rabbit unfortunately, for this party fanatic mom, their wasn't too much selection so naturally my creativity gene kicked in and started to create a Vintage Peter Rabbit Birthday Party. I wanted it to embody a spring, cottage-y feel, garden-esq, vintage feel. I printed her banners, cupcake toppers, water bottle labels, made her goody bags and got started on her party. She was so excited all week long and it seemed that's all she talked about. So after I had already invited all our guests, I asked her who she wanted to invite from her class and she excitedly responded, "EVERYONE!" Big gulp from mommy! I then printed 22 more invites and passed them out to everyone is her class. So happy with the turn out of friends and family that helped us celebrate my chica bonita. BTW, the cake was carrot cake with cream cheese! One of the best cakes I've tasted. I didn't get to try the cupcakes but from what I heard they were bomb! Oh and the beverage of choice was freshly squeezed lemonade with frozen pureed strawberries. Delish! My mom was so instrumental in helping provide alot of the decor from Dallas Farmer's Market. She brought me all the fresh fruits and veggies and wooden crates. She was even able to find those cute bunches of carrots with those long green stems! Eeek (nerd)
Here are some sweet pictures we were able to capture....
