Valentine's Day 2014

This year Valentine's Day fell on a Friday and I was very excited since my husband didn't have to go work later on that day. Some of my BEST memories as a child were our Christmas parties, and Valentine's parties. This being my daughter's 1st official Valentine party- I knew I wanted to do everything in my will power to be a part of it. Since Eli only goes to his mommy's day out preschool two days out of the week: Tuesday and Thursday- he had his party on Thursday. I dressed my little guy in red and even sprayed alittle of daddy's cologne. Hehehe, he looked and smelled like a little gentleman. For his party I found some really cute bag toppers that read, " I really DIG you" with a digger print on them. They were perfect for the gummy worms we added. Bri had "Hugs & Kisses" topper which I added Hershey's Kisses of course ;) and my big girl even participated in the spirit of things with a "Your Friendship Is A Lifesaver" which we added lifesaver candies. I thing I'm going to be really sad the day she tells me she's too "grown" for all this :( . . . until now, I'm looovin' it! :) Oh, forgot to mention the giant, long stemmed chocolate covered strawberries were for the teachers and I made some extra ones for the kids (more like the stole them from the platter) and the hubs.
Bri Bri's party started at 9:45am and I was just to eager to get there! I had forgotten how small those pre-k chairs are and how big my butt has gotten since then! lol Anyways, I had fun watching her interact with all her friends, I watched with excitement how she made us a Valentine Card, and helped pass out treats. It was very insightful to be able to chit chat with the teachers and get to know them on a more personable level too.
When my Denyce got home she told me her friends appreciated the treat bags and later got ready for her 1st Valentine's Day Dance!!! Geeze Louise! Can you please stop growing?!?!
As far as me, the hubs always likes to catch me off guard - he says it's too predicable to expect something on February 14th and that everyday we should show our love. Aint he something? He's a keeper <3 <3 Well, this year her caught me totally by surprise and treated me to a salon and spa package in Heath, Texas. I got the works: pedicure, facial, massage, haircut and style, and eyebrow and lip waxing. It was just nice to be able to leave the house without having to adjust my rear view mirror to look back at my kids or for once listen the radio station of my choice, and not to worry about having to buckle up three little busy bodies. Can I get an AMEN? lol
